Cheque encashment (collection)
Bank performs encashment of cheques denominated in all convertible currencies.
Via its bank correspondence channels, CCB is able to collect any cheque payable at any bank in the world. Normally, cheque encashment terms vary from 10 to 30 calendar days depending on the currency of the cheque and the drawee bank.
Bank processes personal, corporate and bank cheques (drafts), and for some types of cheques with a higher level of security such as Money Order Cheques, cashier’s cheques and treasury cheques, CCB is able to offer immediate encashment under usual reserve where the amounts are paid to the customer account on the day of cheque deposit in the bank.
CCB collects (buys) all kind of travelers’ cheques – from their holders as well as through agreements for secondary purchase from traders who accept them in their business as means of payment - hotels, shops, tourist agencies, financial houses and others.
Issuance of bank cheques
CCB issued bank cheques in USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, Canadian dollars, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish Crowns. These cheques will be paid by the correspondent bank accounts with first class banks such as Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas, New York; Societe Generale S.A., Paris; Barclays Bank Plc, London; Credit Suisse, Zurich; Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce Toronto and others.
